Contents of a Dead Man's Pocket

Conflict- person vs self
Tom Benecke vs. Himself

Exposition
1. Tom is working at his desk while his wife is getting ready to leave
2. Clare wants Tom to go to the movies with her
3. Tom wants to stay home and get work done
4. Tom opens the window to let some air in

Rising Action
1. A yellow sheet of paper flew out the window and got stuck on the ledge
2. Tom decides to try and go out and get the piece of paper
3.Tom climbs out, onto the ledge to get the paper and starts to creep along the ledge
4. Tom tries not to look down and gets over to the piece of paper and he reaches for it
5. He looks down at the street below him, and is filled with fear
6. Tome scrapes his forehead on the wall and loses his balance and almost falls
7. He was too scared to move and called for help
8. Tom slowly started to move back towards the window
9. He hit his ankle and almost falls again
10. He knocks the window closed by accident
11.Tom tries to open the window

Climax
He is able to open the window

Falling Action
When he gets in the house and puts his stuff down and just stands there

Resolution
When he decides to go find his wife and doesn't care about the paper
